Getting to Zipolo Habu Resort
Daily flights from Honiara to Munda take approximately one hour and from Gizo only 15 minutes. From Munda Airport, it is only a 20 minute scenic boat ride to the resort. The resort also offers private transfers to and from other areas throughout the Western Province if required.

This bungalow is located closest to the restaurant and has two snug bedrooms, each with one double bed, and an intimate veranda. Comfortable and well appointed, this bungalow features beautiful hand woven walling and louvre windows, 24 hour lighting and fans. The kitchenette has a bar fridge and single gas burner stove. Hot water shower and toilet facilities are shared.
Large Semi-Deluxe Bungalow x 1
Two bedrooms with queen size bed in one room and one single bed, one double bed in the other room. There is 24 hour power for bedroom fans and lights. The kitchenette has a fridge and gas burner stove. The bungalow features two verandas – a large covered veranda at the front and a small covered veranda off the back bedroom. Shared toilet and hot water shower facility.
Deluxe Bungalow x 1
The Deluxe Bungalow offers a premium level of comfort, privacy and style and has two bedrooms (one queen size bed/one double bed) with ceiling fans. The absolute waterfront positioning provides panoramic views across Vona Vona Lagoon to the dormant Kolombangara volcano in the distance. This bungalow features an ensuite bathroom with hot water showers, a kitchenette with bar fridge and single burner gas stove and a furnished balcony. A battery back-up provides 24 hour power for fans and lighting at any time of day or night.

The Large Deluxe Bungalow offers similar features to the Deluxe Bungalow with two large bedrooms each with one double and two single beds, wall fans, reading lights, full size kitchen, 24 hour power and a sitting area opening on to a large veranda over the beach with a beautiful view over the lagoon to the extinct volcano. The ensuite features a hot soft rain water shower.

Guests staying at Zipolu Habu Resort have the opportunity to join the boat dives and snorkelling trips offered by Dive Munda. Dive Munda offers a free pick up and drop off service to all Zipolo Habu guests. They also offer a range of training options onsite, and with a many dive sites just around the corner, there is no better place to learn how to dive than here on Lola Island. Diving around Munda includes a spectacular and unique fresh/salt water cave dive, stunning reef and drop offs, together with a sample of WWII wrecks.
Surfing
Although the local surf can be extremely inconsistent, when the surf is up, you’ll have it all to yourself. The resort break is ‘Skull Island’, which is almost paddling distance. When it’s breaking, Skull Island is a nice, clean, extremely long, right hand break over deep coral reef.
There are two other confirmed surf breaks 5 to 20 minutes from the resort. A range of boards are available for hire from the resort at modest rates.
