Travel insurance offers you peace of mind and protection against complete financial loss in many unforeseen circumstances. These unforeseen circumstances can occur before you depart on your travels or after you have left home whilst you are busy enjoying your holiday adventure. For this reason we recommend taking out travel insurance from the moment you send through your initial trip deposit.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all our independent, tailor made and group island adventures, particularly when travelling to our more remote, off-the-beaten track destinations where medical facilities are not easily accessible or up to the western standards that we have come to expect and desire in an emergency.
If you are participating in adventure activities during your trip, tour operators often insist you have travel insurance covering medical expenses and emergency repatriation in order to be allowed to participate in your selected activity. Please check with your Island Adventures consultant if you are unsure of your tour operator’s requirements.
